Food & drink

What we serve, told dish by dish.

We have 25 in-depth notes about every dish on our Buenos Aires menu — Avo Toast, specialty coffee, our patisserie, lunch & wine — currently published in Spanish. If you're visiting Argentina, the easiest way to taste them all is at one of our three BA locations. Below: a quick guide to the four categories so you know what to order.

Brunch · 8 dishes

Brunch — the porteño weekend ritual

Avo Toast on sourdough with poached egg, scrambled eggs & bacon, brioche French toast with cinnamon and maple, oat pancakes, Greek yogurt with house granola, stuffed Argentine chipás, our share-it-all brunch-for-two, and a hot lomito sandwich on chipá bread. Brunch is served daily at all three locations — busiest on Saturday and Sunday from 10am.

Specialty coffee in Buenos Aires

We work with single-origin beans, mainly Nicaraguan from Puerto Blest, roasted for our own blend. The menu: a signature Cappuccino Sāntal with cocoa and cinnamon dust, a flat white our baristas push for tasting the bean, an espresso tonic for porteño summers, an 18-hour cold brew, an iced latte (vegan-milk option) and pour-over filter for the deep-end drinkers.

Patisserie · 6 creations

Patisserie — house-made every morning

Banana-split loaf cake (the one that crossed Belgrano and went viral), brioche cinnamon rolls with Ceylon cinnamon and vanilla glaze, the Argentine maicena alfajor with dulce de leche and coconut, carrot cake with cream-cheese frosting and candied walnuts, a 70% dark vegan chocolate cake, and freshly baked butter medialunas — the Argentine answer to the croissant.

Lunch & wine · 5 plates

Lunch, tapas & the wine cellar

The signature Belgrano dish — a roasted-mushroom sandwich with caramelised peppers, parmesan and roasted-red-pepper aioli — plus seasonal salads, fresh-pressed detox juices, and a small but seriously edited wine cellar focused on natural and small-batch Argentine producers. From 7pm at Belgrano (and from opening at Chacarita) the menu shifts into tapas: croquettes, hummus, mushroom risotto, braised-beef tacos.

Sāntal in the press

What the food writers said.

Features in Argentine and international media, curated guides, review platforms and creators who passed through Sāntal and wrote about it in their own way. Most of the Argentine press is in Spanish — the international coverage and platforms are in English.
